Northern Lights

Georgeson Botanical Gardens
This hidden gem is located on the University of Alaska-Fairbanks campus in Fairbanks, Alaska. Perched on a slope below the university, the garden not only has an excellent view of Fairbanks, but is home to over 3,000 varieties of flowers, vegetables, and herbs. With non-stop sunlight during the growing season, you will get the chance to see everything from a 50-pound cabbage to pansies the size of small children. The Georgeson Botanical Gardens have 5 acres of lush and vibrant land so there are more than enough spots to propose to the one you love.
Mendenhall Glacier & Ice Caves
This proposal would be a hard one to beat. The Mendenhall Glacier stretches 12 miles from Juneau Icefield to Mendenhall Lake and it is about a half mile wide and 300-1,800 feet deep. The best way to see the glacier is by kayaking up to its face or from a helicopter. However, the ice caves are only accessible by kayaking. There are a few maintained trails that lead to the glacier for hiking. The caves themselves will provide an otherworldly feel to your special day and will make the experience a truly memorable one.
Denali National Park
You might have known this national treasure as Mt. McKinley Park but in 2015 President Barack Obama officially renamed it Denali- it's Athabascan given name meaning “the Tall One.” Denali comprises an area slightly larger than the state of Massachusetts and is ranked one of Alaska's top attractions. As the home of the highest peak in North America and with over 650 species of plants, 130 different bird species, and 37 species of mammals, there are no dull moments throughout this picturesque park. So, whether you are there for the wildlife or the mountain, Denali National Park is a perfect place to propose- especially if they love nature.
Seven Glaciers Restaurant Alyeska
Alyeska Resort is chock-full of many different activities so if you haven't already proposed at the top of the mountain while skiing, don't worry, we have another suggestion for you. Seven Glaciers Restaurant has amazing views and amazing food. Here's what you do: You take a tram to the top of the mountain to eat at the restaurant, after dinner you take a short walk up the mountain and, voila, you have one of the most beautiful sights in all of Alaska.
